Saturday morning I slept in because I was so tired from Friday but my parents said, "we are take a trip to the snow do you want to come?" A big part of me wanted to stay in bed cuddling my warm blanket but after thinking about it I didn't want to let the second Saturday of the year to go to waste. So I got ready and headed to Frazier Park with my parents, niece and older nephew. We first stopped for breakfast at one of our traditional "visiting the snow restaurant" Big John's. The menu had grown since the last time we had been there. Our customer service this time was horrible the lady was such a grumpy pants and didn't want to let people sit by the windows with the snow view. The view is the main reason we go so we can look at the snow while we eat. I must say since having worked in costumer service rude service stands out to me like a sore thumb the reason I think being I wouldn't have treated you like that! any way lets continue with my awesome weekend!

Trying to get to the snow playground was a mission impossible! The traffic was so backed up that we decided instead of waiting in dead steal traffic we just pull over on the side of the road. Where we had pulled over had a lot of room so no worries we weren't 3 feet from the road.
The snow we did manage to play with was enough since we didn't really have the correct snow gear! About 10 minutes later everyone was freezing and ready to go. My parents thought we head towards Tehachapi in the search of more snow and maybe we'd stop at the appleshed to grab dessert.
Once we were in Tehachapi there was snow but they had closed roads leading due to fresh wet roads that hadn't been shoveled. There was sheriff cars blocking basically all the fun! I know they are just trying to keep everyone safe. There was a bit of flat land people had pulled over to play with snow and so we did too. After about 5 minutes a sheriff passed by and said it was private property and everyone needed to go. With no luck we decided to head home as it begin to rain. Hopefully this week brings enough snow that we can make another visit with the right gear this time. Up to this point my 2016 has been great I hope yours has too. Until next weekend ~CorinaH
