Hello everyone, this past weekend we celebrated the 4th of July. On top of celebrating Independence Day we also have my nieces birthday. All my family came over to have a double celebration. We celebrated with some of my nieces favorites pizza and pink cake.

I made some fun jello shapes as a little refreshment. My niece and nephew like them a lot. I must admit I was very excited about my accident of making a yellow green dinosaur. I'll have to experiment some more. Basically what happened was some blue jello fell into the tin and I couldn't get it out so I just pored the yellow on top and well-la we have a greenish dino. For the design tray I use the jigglers you find next to the jello in the grocery stores.

The birthday girl, the day fits her perfectly. She is a little firecracker a burst of joy when she walks in the room. Trust me she makes her presence known. We celebrate Independence Day to reflect on how blessed we are as a nation for our freedom but now as a family we can also celebrate how blessed we our to have this little firecracker in our lives. How else could you possibly celebrate other than with fireworks.

Copper with the birthday girl |

I went a little patriotic inspired with my gel nails. The color shows a little bright but they were navy blue. ( I need to find a nail artist for nail designs)
After we ate pink cake and opened presents we went swimming to cool off. When it started getting dark outside we all got out of the pool to begin the fireworks.
To capture these cool images I used the fireworks setting on my camera.
Some of my families favorite fireworks this year were viva el futbol, little miss, parfait fountain, jumbo purple rain, pink diamond, jack of hearts, black widow, and but of course morning glory.
Simply Because... CorinaH
