A day trip to San Francisco

A day trip to the bay area. It's always nice to put work and everything else on hold for a day. My dad was being awarded a veterans scholarship in San Francisco and invited me to join him and my mom. So I put in my weeks notice in at work and packed a bag. I'm very proud of my dad for all of his life achievements. He's diffidently a role model to look up to, an example that it's never to late to do the things you are passionate about.  "I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday." ~Unknown Author
San Francisco

A few years ago we went to San Francisco but manly to visit Muir Woods. So after the scholarship banquet, we did a little sight seeing. We visited fisherman's wharf, Lombard street, and the Golden Gate Bridge. I wish we had more than a day to spend sight seeing. At fisherman's wharf there where many vendors selling food and art pieces being set up. Fisherman's Wharf was packed and we were short on time so we didn't walk around. Our next stop was Lombard St, I haven't been to Lombard street since I was little. It has some beautiful flowers like hydrangeas (one of my favorites).  It was nice to visit the city but I would like some more time to do more sight seeing and maybe some small shops shopping. Here are a few of them sights we visited(:

Does anyone else think these flowers look like a Lorax truffula tree?

I enjoyed the weather and the time I got to spend with my parents. Some things I would recommend 1. Some good walking shoes 2. A light sweater 3. A good camera
Until next time peeps.. CorinaH

A misplaced blog

Hello everyone! I have a bit of old news. I had meant to post this about a month ago but I've just been a bit busy with work and a little bit of vacation but I am back. Hopefully I can get back on track. On Monday June 30th we went for a doctor checkup and test results. With the results we went over different treatment ideas. They decided to wait until radiation was completed to determine future treatment.
As we waited for the doctor I made a bet with my sister that I could make it to the mural, take the picture, and make it back in time before the doctor came. Whoever lost would have to buy Panera that day for lunch.. p.s I bought Panera this day.

After our doctor visit we went out for lunch. Perhaps a celebratory lunch. We treated my dad to our favorite spot.
My dad had a chicken caesar salad with a chicken panni.

My sister had a turkey bacon avocado sandwich with baked potato soup.
My mom had a cup of cheddar broccoli soup.
I had the bacon turkey bravo with chicken tortellini alfredo, I decided to try something new.

As of this past week my mom has completed her radiation treatments. One step at a time. CorinaH
