First weekend: My Nino & Nina come to visit

My godparents live out of state so sadly we don't get to visit often but I'd say at least once a year they come to visit. Our meet ups are usually down south which is fine by me because I love the beach but, this visit was extra special. This time they came and stayed a few nights at our house. On the second day we drove around town giving a little tour of some nearby sights. It was difficult to narrow down the photos because we took so many I want to share all of them!
The weather was a little rainy and overcast but we made the best of it. The wild flower weren't in agreement they were all shut tight but, the clouds made for an interesting photo opportunity!
We visited the bluffs very briefly the winds had picked up and it was a little too cold. The bluffs are cool to see with all those oil pumps working away looking like a little city in disguise.
For dinner we went to Guy Fieri's restaurant Johnny Garlic's in the market place. I recently found out that he is parting ways from his restaurant chains! My burger choice was based on the fact that it had a pretzel bun and I once worked at a pretzel franchise haha.
After dinner we stopped by my sister's house to spend some time with them and so my godparents could see her house.
On my godparents last day in town we had breakfast at home before they headed back home. It was very nice to have spent time with them in our home catching up on old times and making new memories. Hopefully next time we get together me and my family could visit them out of state.
During the month my friend asked me to make special invitations and food labels for a surprise party. The invitations were a yin-yang symbol which I forgot to take a photo of and the labels well they are below.
Third week: Job hunting and school convention
Since I quit my job back in December I have been job hunting and I finally had two opportunities come up one which was a little sketchy so a few people said and the other the real deal. For the second job I had to take a test on food related things and when it comes to tests I always get nervous because I don't know what to prepare for! Well I found out a few days later I passed! Yay! I had a follow up interview which went well and now I'm number 8 on the waiting list!! So hopefully I'll hear something soon because this girl needs to get back to work. ha
Also on week three my parents attended a school convention which schools compete in all activities from spots, academics, music, and ect. On Wednesday my mom had to come back home for an appointment and was heading back Thursday so I joined her for some company(to drive).
Friday they had the award ceremony for all the events entered and it just brought back so many memories of when I attend back in the days. If you receive awards they qualify you to attend international convention where you compete with kids from around the world!! It a very unique and rewarding experience. Okay I'm getting carried away the kids received some awards then we headed back home but not before we took some pictures.
The day after we got home which was Saturday my mom's family had a family reunion at Bass Lake. My parents and I took a day trip to go hang out with family by the lake. The hours went by so fast I didn't even have to walk down by the lake like I had planned but, that only means we'll have to take another trip soon :) Spending time with friends or family is always refreshing you get that frozen time where everything just gets put on pause and its just you and them making memories that'll last a life time.
Mom, "Look Cory we can make coasters out of this wood."
The last week of the month: This past Saturday we celebrated Easter a day early so all our family could come over for a little BBQ and an egg hunt for the kids. The weather made it a nice day to hangout in the back yard.
A photo shoot with bubbles sounds easy however; it has proved to be very difficult!! haha Copper was also photo bombing!
Sharing is caring with that said don't share your ring pops with Copper that's just gross! HA
Tia please enough with the photos!
The Last Sunday of the month: Resurrection Sunday
He has Risen!
After church this four wheeler thing was brought out and everyone was having a blast taking turns riding. Watching everyone was fun but then I was persuaded to take a ride and NO! I didn't like it at all it felt like we were going to crash or tip over! Someone said it is just like a ride at Magic Mountain and no way I feel safer riding at MagicM this was horrible in my opinion. A lot of people got a kick out of watching but next time I will be watching you couldn't pay me to ride again! Nope.
Last bust certainly not least Anthony turned 6!! Like I've said before and will mostly likely continue to say, "time is just flying by and it's making me feel old!" :(
In the evening we went over to celebrate his birthday and take him his present. On the weekend, we will be celebrating with a little birthday party for this little ninja!March has been a great month having been able to spend more time with friends and family! I did spend some time this month with my BFF and her new precious baby girl but for privacy I didn't enter a picture but I also didn't want it to be over looked;) How exciting is it that Spring is here?!! Time for some spring cleaning open up those windows, let the light in, and let the dust out ha. April fools is tomorrow and I have a few tricks up my sleeve I hope I can pull the off! If you made it to the end kudos to you because I know this month has been all over the place. Lesson learned stay on track and write more often so there's not to much to catch up all at once! Be back soon Happy Spring!! ~CorinaH
