Bolles Nursery- Succulent Heaven

3255 Allen Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93314

Yesterday my mom wanted to go to a local nursery to find the "Wave?" a vine plant with colorful flowers. We went to Bolles Nursery which has recent moved from Wible Rd to Allen Rd off Rosedale Hwy. She usually finds the wave there so we took a little drive. I drove she sat along for the drive? lol I tend to be my mothers taxi and that's okay I guess considering she was mine for eighteen years. Yes, I got my drivers license late ha okay back to the plants.
Their new property is Huge!! Sadly we didn't find the "Wave" aka Petunia but we did find succulents!!!! Succulents are cool because you don't have to water them that often perfect for the California drought and you don't have to pay them much attention either. The succulents were in a green house in the far back and well I guess all the photos are what came next. It's so hard to choose which photos to use when I have so many!
I enjoy taking these spare of the moment trips because it gives me the opportunity to play with my new camera. I still have a lot to learn!
Can we just take a moment to enjoy this orange watering can? So pretty
If you are in the search of succulents or any plants check out Bolles Nursery. We went straight home to add the new succulents to the back yard. Actually we stopped by Checkers then went home and ate in the back yard while sunbathing. Welcome home little peas on a string! ~CorinaH
You guys didn't bring me anything? How rude HUMANS! ~CopperH

Friday OOTD

OOTD Friday
Top: Forever 21+
Bottom: Forever21 leggings
Shoes: Payless boots

On Friday morning the weather was nice and sunny with a little breeze. My mom wanted to go hunt down some flowers at a nursery in town. So I threw something decent on my outfits tend to be laid back during the week. Comfort tends to be the way most days honestly (;

Being plus size can be hard sometimes when it comes to clothes I want to feel pretty and cute too. I've found that forever 21+ carries a very nice selection at reasonable prices incase anyone is interested.
I asked my mom to take a few photos of me and we may have gotten a little carried away! see more photos from our visit to succulent heaven here ~CorinaH

Quick hair update!!

Hair Change!! During the summer last year I dyed my hair purple and wrote a blog here about it. Although I loved my hair and trying something new the up keep was a lot. I decided to let it go as in fade away and for a few months I have been living with the result. A few people told me how much they liked it but I wasn't a fan plus the root growth was beyond visible! Searching for a job feeling like a hot mess just wasn't cutting it so the other day I went to Walmart and bought two boxes of dark brown hair dye and well-a!!

"Are you trying to be twins?" -Copper

Some days I did enjoy the color and styling it different ways but when I didn't take the time to put effort into my hair it looked like a train wreck just all bad!

I'm back to brown for now.. wink* wink*
I have to admit I miss my mess a tiny bit.
Well until my next hair adventure ~CorinaH

Superbowl Sunday

Football Banner:

Are you having a SuperBowl Sunday party? Do you need decorations? Paper banners are the way to go they are inexpensive and easy to make. If you have the time all you need is: paper, a pencil, scissors, string, and a punch holder.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to paper crafting you could personalize the team, add names, and cut different shapes!! I will make a detailed step by step tutorial soon. Go Broncos!!! I personally don't have a team but, I know someone who loves them so I'm wishing her team some luck! (; ! Also I'm posting everyday this week! ~CorinaH

Discover the Dinosaurs

Dino-Day!

My nephew's favorite thing lately has been dinosaurs so for Christmas I bought them tickets to Discover the Dinosaurs on groupon. I wasn't to sure what to expect because the pictures available didn't show much and there was very few details. We went on a Saturday morning as soon as the exhibit opened in hopes of beating the crowd.

Once we entered the exhibit he was very excited! Each dinosaur had a plaque with their names and a few details. With such excitement my nephew would pause only for a picture then we were on to the next dinosaur.

After we viewed all the dinosaurs we got in line to ride the dinosaurs. Among the dinosaur rides they had a dino theater and some sand digging.

The show was split into two exhibits. Inside of the second exhibit was the gift shop, bounce houses, face painting, mining, coloring, and mini golf.

Overwhelmed with the gift shop options!

Discover the Dinosaurs was a fun activity for a Saturday morning I would recommend it and if you know anyone who loves dinosaurs its a nice gift too. There are a few extra expenses once inside so if you do give it as a gift I would recommend adding spending money. One complaint my nephew had was they didn't have a pterodactyl other than that they both had a blast!
We made it in our local paper having visited Discover the Dinosaurs!! ~CorinaH
