Christmas Care Package

I don't know about you guys but, Christmas is probably one of our favorite holidays at home. We have a thanksgiving tradition. We eat our thanksgiving lunch and as soon as we clean the Christmas boxes come out of the garage and we began decorating for Christmas. We are usually done by dinner time. Every year after Christmas me and my mom go to craft stores or home store and buy some new stuff on sale and pack it away. So the next year when we open the bins we always forget what we bought and its like we went shopping minus the full prices. Sometimes we over buy so my mom has started making wreaths and giving them as gifts. What does all of this have to do with this care package? Even though my brother may not be here for the holidays to partake in our traditions. I still wanted to include him in a way. So I tried to squeeze everything Christmas into this package.
For the lettering inside I used the circut cutting machine. The Christmas tree is made of different side triangles and three mini bows on top for a star affect.
For the inside of my box I used gift wrapping paper. I pre cut and traced the box. I forgot to take a picture of what it looked like. The candy canes are made from striped pipe cleaners,  just cut them into smaller pieces and shape them.

One of our traditions during the Christmas holiday season it to watch the Christmas holiday package of movies. Rudolph the red nose reindeer, the drummer boy, and frosty the snowman. Here is my take on some classics.

Cotton balls make a very good beard just stretch them thin. If you have drying time tacky glue will work, if not hot glue works great. Careful you can burn yourself. I did.

Copper wanted to help make the box too. More like he wanted to eat Santa's beard. ha

The cookies I picked came in a very big tin so I bought a smaller festive tin to put them in and save some box space. Also to keep the cookies from breaking. I have to admit my mistake this time around, was I included a hickory farms sausage box gift set and instead of opening the box and taking out all the box filler to fill it with other snacks to maximize space, I left the box sealed(as it came). I wanted to send the box off before I went to work and was in a bit of a time crunch. Lesson learned don't be in a rush when mailing out a care package.

Thank you guys for stopping by and checking out my babblings. I hope you guys enjoyed. CorinaH

Copper's 1st Birthday

A quick post of the day.

On Friday 12/13/14 Copper turned 1! Although it is not Copper's birth date it is the day we got Copper. A photo shoot? Yes, a bit over bored but I couldn't resist.

The back drop is birthday wrapping paper taped to the wall. shh! it's our secret now.
Copper knows how to sit, lay, and spin but only when he likes. That proved to make things difficult.

Copper is one teething machine. Everything and anything he can get his paws on will work. After his birthday photo shoot I gave him his birthday presents. He carried them around all day.

Happy Birthday Copper!!
I hope you guys enjoyed this quick simple post.
Yes, this might prove how crazy of a pet owner I can be, but to me birthday's should be celebrated how ever you choose is up to you ;) Thank you CorinaH

Pumpkin Patch

Hello everyone. Fall was here and now its heading out the door. Let's jump right in to my very late October post. My annual family pumpkin patch trip. Every year we go to our local pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins to decorate our houses for the fall season. We tend to turn our trip into a family photo opportunity I mean why not?! Here are a few of the photos we took.

Incase you guys didn't know my name is Farmer Core! haha jk

Pumpkin Patch 2014

My nephew was not very happy that we had to leave the pumpkin patch. Although I am very sad to see fall go. I'm so glad that winter is here!! Chunky sweaters, scarfs, boots, and hot coco. Winter is probably one of my favorite seasons. I'm so excited!! So look forward to seeing a lot more posts during this time. Thank you friends for stopping by. CorinaH

Deployment Care Package #3 HALLOWEEN

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Bats! Ghosts! Spiders! oh my!!
Enter if you dare!

Bean Boozled is my favorite game at the moment. So much that I had to send it to my brother with some extra refills. Basically the game is spin the wheel and to every color there is either a good or bad flavor. I'm naming it Trick or Treat. I highly recommend it for some good laughs. I found the game at Sweet Factory.
I found the Halloween treat bags in targets dollar section 20bags for $1.

A special thank you to my cousins who helped me put this box together. I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween! CorinaH
